Creative Performance Woodhall Spa Manor Wedding – Grace & Jack

Published Jun 2024

It was so clear to see that Grace and Jack put so much thought into their extremely personal and creative wedding at Woodhall Spa Manor; I’ve never been in the company of so many amazing and talented people!

Actress Grace and musician Jack actually live in London, but are from Lincolnshire originally! Rather than have their family travel to London for the wedding, they held it back at home. Aww!

The Wedding

Meet Grace

We spent the morning in the beautiful bridal suite upstairs at Woodhall Spa Manor praying for the rain to stop! Grace told me she and her bridesmaids had ‘buried a sausage’ the night before, and therefore she was feeling optimistic for sunshine!

Hair: Halo Hair

Make-up: Rachel Bray

Flowers: Horncastle Florist

Grace gave her mum and bridesmaids a lovely sentimental gift and letter each which rapidly filled the room with overwhelming emotion! While Grace was finishing off in hair and make-up, the bridesmaids and mum got ready for the wedding!

Grace kept peeking from behind the curtains at the guests arriving outside, hoping to not be seen by anyone!

We surprised the bridesmaids with Grace’s complete look and headed downstairs to the ceremony area where Jack was waiting.

The Ceremony

Their ceremony was delivered by Billie, who recently made her West End debut on The Play That Goes Wrong (hilarious show!); and just by witnessing Grace and Jack’s reactions I know that Billie absolutely nailed their tailored and extremely personal ceremony. Their ceremony was full of dramatic readings, singing and music – fantastic!

Family Photos

Burying the sausage must have worked! We were blessed with an hour of mild sunshine, so it was now or never for the photos! Guests were enjoying the sunshine too with hors d’oeuvres and outdoor games.

Newlywed Photoshoot

In the spirit of ‘go go go!’ – Grace and Jack wanted to have their photos now instead of risking the rain for better lighting later on, I absolutely agreed, better safe than sorry!

Woodhall Spa Manor also has a little secret shaded and secluded garden area with a koi pond! Perfect for giving a couple of newlyweds five minutes to themselves.

Wedding breakfast

The couple very kindly included me in their seating plan and we all enjoyed a delicious three course meal together. There was also a “Him or Her” game hosted where all of the guests competed to see who knew the most about the couple. It ended in a tie, and no, the parents didn’t make it to the final round!

Each table was named after a famous Shakespearean play and was decorated beautifully with wild flowers and eucalyptus.

Speeches were given by Grace’s parents and they shared a hilarious story about a time where Grace and Jack video chatted them in distress while their home was being invaded by a ‘little squeaking visitor’. Grace’s dad emphasised that it demonstrated teamwork and determination and that their marriage was ready for anything because of it!

Grace and Jack both spoke separately and then together to thank everyone for making the effort to spend the day with them.

Cake cut & first dance

A three-tiered naked cake graces Woodhall Spa Manor, adorned with fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and a pink flower. Greenery accents enhance the elegance as it sits on a wooden table, with blurred elegant chairs and pastel flowers hinting at a wedding celebration. © Aimee Lince Photography

Naked cakes are absolutely stunning, but you have to be careful with them or they will make a run for it! Caterer Sue and I did our best to fix it and Grace & Jack were more than happy to move forward the cake cut for the sake of the cake not sliding away!

A first dance fit for performers! Grace & Jack owned the dancefloor and everyone helped them raise the roof at Woodhall Spa Manor!

Highlight video

Grace is a massive Taylor Swift fan so of course there was only one song I could use for their highlight video!
