Lynsey and I are old friends, so being asked to shoot her wedding day was an extra special honour and pleasure for me!
The couple were married and celebrated at Kings Hall in Cleethorpes. Our session began at the couple’s home where we got lots of shots of the bridal party getting ready, including their two beautiful daughters who made wonderful bridesmaids!
I headed briefly to the groom’s parents’ house where he was getting ready to get some nice shot of him with his mother too. I weaved the ‘getting ready’ clips together to build excitement and suspense within the video; we have to remember that each of them has no idea what the other was doing at the time, so I love to bring this all together in a parallel way.
When the car arrived for the bridal party, I realised I was fortunate enough to know the chauffeuse! She very kindly let me get the shots of the bride’s departure and gave me a head start to also get the shot of them arriving to the ceremony too! While waiting, I covered the groom and ceremony hall including some shots of their guests eagerly waiting to see the ceremony.
The ceremony was short and sweet, but even so captured the happy couple laughing, smiling and just being themselves which is what it’s all about. They made their exit from the ceremony, greeted all of their guests as newlyweds and took a drive. While they were away, I got some lovely shots of the ceremony hall being transformed for the reception.
It’s always an absolute honour to capture these happy times for my clients and I appreciate them trusting me with it far more than they will ever know!
“My husband and I had the honour of having Aimee for our wedding. Communication from start to finish was second to none. She was so conscious of making sure everything went smoothly on our big day. We were both so happy with the results, and especially with how quickly our photos and video were ready! Nothing was too much trouble. I will be hiring Aimee in the future for other projects. Thank you so much for helping make our day special!”
