A Lively Outdoor Marquee Wedding in Louth – Amie & Ben

Big congratulations to Amie & Ben on their wedding at St James Church in Louth! What a gorgeous and sunny day it was for them to be surrounded by their loved ones.

We started the day at their home where Ben was getting ready with the boys (and doggo!) Ben seemed super relaxed while we got his prep shots, and he asked me to deliver a special something to his bride!

Amie and her bride tribe got ready in one of the lodges at Brackenborough Lakes Resort. Her daughter helped her get into her dress and we had a lovely bride reveal for Amie’s dad! Amie looked simply beautiful in her lace gown from Elite Bridal in Hull.

Amie & Ben’s wedding ceremony was held at St James Church in Louth. The architecture of that church is absolutely stunning, it’s so light an open which meant I could move around and get all kinds of shots for the couple!

After a confetti exit, we took the family photos around the side of the church in the shade.

After a second confetti exit (in style!) we moved onto their reception on Ben’s parents’ land, where a huge marquee and food trucks awaited us!

After the speeches, the newlyweds cut their delicious-looking wedding cake by Ola Zych and had their first dance together to the song “Fall into me” by Forest Blakk  which was performed amazingly by band No Relevance.

We climbed over a country gate (literally!) to get some stunning golden hour photos amongst the equally stunning landscapes in Louth.

Their reception was a lively one! No Relevance performed three separate sets and really hyped up the crowd! But to top it all off, our wedding photography session ended in fireworks!

Their story

Tell us all about your ‘the beginning!’

We met when Ben was a chef at a local pub and I was a waitress when we were in our early twenties. We have been together for 14 years. Our first date was at Appleby’s ice cream parlour.

When and where did you get engaged?

We got engaged on the 14th March 2022- (12 year anniversary) in the Peak district, by the most beautiful waterfall. Ben caught it on camera and it was an absolute surprise.

What style/theme have you chosen for your wedding?

We have gone for the colour sage green and white with a little blush pink and the men will be wearing stone suits. We have gone for relaxed theme, no formal sit down meal and the speeches will be very informal. The reception is very festival like.

What are you having your first dance to?

Blakk Forest – Fall into me.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Everyone joining in and having a good time, up and dancing and laughing all day long.

with love
