Teenage Sweethearts’ Bright Summer Wedding Day at The Oaklands Hall Hotel – Loren & Bailey

A day of sunshine, bouncy castles and dancing at The Oaklands Hall Hotel for Loren & Bailey! What an amazing couple, so kind, so fun, so loving and so energetic! I had such a great time with them both!

The day started with Bailey at his dad’s house! The guys were all already dressed and rearing to go when I got there (aside from the two groomsmen who had suit emergencies!) We had some time there before heading to Bailey’s mum’s house, who had a beautiful and sentimental gift for him. Thankfully Brides and Maids of Lincolnshire were on the case and whipped up two new suits in no time!

Next I went to Loren & Bailey’s home to get those must-have bridal prep shots! It’s always a pleasure to see my childhood friend Jade Clay Hair & Make-up who as always, did an incredible job at making the girls look absolutely spectacular! We had a lovely private bridal reveal moment with Loren’s dad, which is always a really nice shot to get. Loren wore a beautiful gown by Coates Couture Bridal and looked an absolute vision!

Loren and Bailey said their “I do’s” at Cleethorpes Registry Office. It really felt like once the initial (and understandable!) nerves were out of the way they really let themselves feel the moment. They were both all smiles and giddiness! I hope they both know just how much they light up the room!

We moved on instantly to The Oaklands to get the party started! Loren and Bailey couldn’t wait for their couples portraits, so we did them right away! We chatted and laughed so much and it was even more special when their doggo joined in on the fun!

We held our family portraits back at The Oaklands and made use of their gorgeous gardens full of trees. Personally I think nature will always win for these timeless family portraits!

Speeches were held before the meal in The Oaklands reception hall; first we had Loren’s dad, followed by Bailey, their best man, Loren’s mum and finally Bailey’s mum! I think we just about saw every emotion and facial expression possible!

The bouncy castle provided by I Do Couture provided endless entertainment, not just for the kids, but for the grown ups too!

They owned The Oaklands dancefloor and soon enough they were joined for a knees-up by almost everyone in proximity!

To cap it all off, we had sparklers outside on the grounds! Even their little ones managed to hang in there to see the beautiful scene. I hope Loren and Bailey know just how much love I witnessed surrounding them all day. Congratulations again guys and thanks for choosing me to capture your wedding day!

Their story

Tell us all about your ‘the beginning!’

“We met on a college induction day, we kept running into each other and catching each other’s eye. Bailey messaged me not long after and that’s where it all started. Our first date was a McDonalds, on a Wednesday afternoon from College.”

When and where did you get engaged?

“At my mom and stepdads house on 17th January 2021.”

I also learned that this was the third time lucky! Bailey had had two proposal plans interrupted due to Covid, I’m glad he was persistent!

What style/theme have you chosen for your wedding?

“Colours are Sage Green, Blush pink and White. We have chosen a colourful and romantic theme with lanterns and log slices.”

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

“Saying I Do and the reception!”

What are your top tips for other nearly-weds?

“Do what you want and stick to it.”
