About Aimee
Get to know me a little
Behind the scenes you’ll find me…
The woman behind the camera
I’m an extroverted introvert and a lifelong night owl. I fall in love with book characters, cry unapologetically at the cinema, and can solve a Rubik’s cube or recite the alphabet backwards if the moment calls for it.
I married a chef so I’d never have to cook, love equal parts banter and sentiment, and still do a little happy dance every single time someone books me.
When I’m not behind the camera
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a wife and mum. I love videogames, reading, creative writing, and Dungeons & Dragons, and I value time with my nearest and dearest above everything else.
You’ll usually find me doom-scrolling TikTok, binge-watching Netflix, heading to pilates, or trying to make time to get back into kickboxing and earn my blue belt.
Where it all began
Capturing memories has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a family that loved home videos, and my Gran had enough photo albums to fill a library — there was always someone behind the camera.
With an engineering background and a creative mind, photography became the perfect blend of science and art — physics, emotion, and my own way of seeing the world.
The path that led me here
Before photography, I spent years working as a computer technician and later qualified as an electrical engineer in 2017. I did well at university, but despite the perfect grades, it never quite felt like me.
When the 2020 lockdown hit and the industry began to look bleak, I realised it was now or never. If I was ever going to change direction and build a career around something I truly loved, this was the moment.
“The greatest scientists are artists as well.” – Albert Einstein.
How I see the world
I’m drawn to beautiful light, striking shadows, and moments that feel real rather than staged. My photography is naturally romantic, down-to-earth, and led by emotion.
For me, it’s about preserving feeling as much as memory — photographs that still mean something years down the line.
How I show up
I’m naturally quite low-key and prefer to blend into the background, quietly capturing what’s happening rather than orchestrating it. I’m drawn to real moments and genuine emotion, exactly as they unfold.
I’m very laid back, but I’m also attentive — I know when to step in gently and when to step back. I don’t believe in putting people under pressure or asking them to perform. Your day should feel relaxed and lived-in, and if you have a creative idea you’re excited about, I’m always happy to lean into it with you.
We’ll be a good fit if…
We’ll probably get on well if you value feeling comfortable over being perfect, care more about moments than poses, and want your wedding day to feel like a celebration rather than a photoshoot.
If you’re sentimental, a little laid back, and excited to enjoy your day as it unfolds, chances are we’ll be a great fit.
Based in Lincolnshire, happy to travel
I’m based in North East Lincolnshire, but I love to travel for weddings. Lincolnshire is home, though I regularly photograph weddings across Yorkshire, the Midlands, and beyond.
If you’re planning something a little further afield, just ask — chances are I’ll be up for it.
I can’t wait to hear from you
