There’s something effortlessly magical about golden hour—when the light turns liquid and everything feels a little softer, a little more cinematic. That magic was in full bloom during Amy & Ethan’s pre-wedding shoot at Cleethorpes Beach and the Boating Lake. These two share the kind of easy, genuine affection that makes photographing them feel less like work and more like watching a love story unfold in real-time. With their October 2025 wedding on the horizon, this session was the perfect warm-up for the big day.

Cleethorpes Beach and Boating Lake is one of those places that quietly shows off. You’ve got open skies, soft golden grass, winding paths, and reflections dancing on the water—all just steps apart. The variety in backdrops means we can move seamlessly from romantic lake views to windswept beach kisses without losing that beautiful golden-hour glow. It’s a relaxed space where couples feel at ease, and that comfort always translates into the photos. For Amy & Ethan, it helped melt away those first-photo nerves and brought out their natural chemistry in the most heartwarming way.

Getting to spend a relaxed evening with Amy & Ethan before their wedding was such a joy—and such a valuable part of the process. Not only did it help build confidence in front of the camera, but it also gave us all a chance to connect, laugh, and settle into a rhythm that will make their October wedding feel even more effortless. I’m already counting down the days!
