Huge congratulations to Alex & Gabriella who tied the knot at St. Peter’s Church, Bottesford followed by a reception to remember at the stunning Elsham Hall! These two were absolutely amazing to work with, total firecrackers with amazing natural chemistry. I had an amazing time being with you both, thank you for making me feel so welcome!
The Beginning
“We knew each other from school, and reconnected 11 years later. We went on our first date – bowling, we fell madly in love, went on lovely holidays together before buying our first house then welcoming our beautiful daughter; Nelly, not long after our amazing son was born; Noah.”
“We got engaged around 3 years ago. I was surprised to walk into our living room with rose petals on the floor spelling out “will you marry me?” There were beautiful candles everywhere and our favourite song “Don’t Let Go” by James Arthur was playing in the background whilst our daughter Nelly was fast asleep in her car seat!”
gabriella says…
“We are most excited about seeing each other in church surrounded by our friends and family and beautiful children.”
The Wedding
Meet Alex
Alex got ready at their own home in Scunthorpe. The energy was high, beers were shared and they were all raring to go for the day ahead! I can’t get over little Noah’s little Vans! Super cute!
If you’ve seen any of my previous Real Wedding Stories; you’ll know I always start with the guys first because they get ready a lot quicker (sorry girls, it’s true!) and it’s much easier for them to take their jacket off again and relax if they want to!

Meet Gabriella
Things were in full swing with the ladies in the bridal suite at Forest Pines Hotel, Brigg. The bridesmaids all wore gorgeous green robes to match Alex & Gabriella’s theme. Everyone was so lovely and super relaxed as they got ready for the big day ahead!

The Ceremony
Their wedding was held at St. Peter’s Church, Scunthorpe and was held by the legendary Reverend Dyke (AKA Rev Kev!) Gabriella’s mother did a lovely reading after they were pronounced husband and wife and the emotions were flowing!
Officiant: Reverend Dykes
Cocktail hour
During cocktail hour we got to listen to the exceptional musical talents of Michael Mulholland. After our Hugs & High-Fives part of the day, we held our family photos on the stunning natural backdrop at Elsham Hall.

Family Photos
We picked a nice shady spot where no one would get too warm or have the sun in their eyes, it also makes the photos look so much nicer! We finished off with a confetti walk before heading in for their wedding breakfast.
Wedding breakfast
The barn at Elsham Hall looked absolutely stunning with all the botanical greenery and candles. The newlyweds made their epic entrance as everyone in the room stood cheering and waving napkins around! Gabriella & Alex cut their cake first as it was going to be the wedding breakfast dessert (really good idea if you ask me!).
Cake maker: Annabia’s Bakeaway
Speeches
The speeches followed an excellent three course meal; the food at Elsham Hall is incredible. Father of the bride Gino spoke first, followed by Alex and then best man Lee.
Cheers to the newlyweds!
Newlywed Photoshoot
There is just so much to work with at Elsham Hall! We started near the river, followed by a trip to the little cottage and finally onto the walled garden to see the animals! We stroked the horses, fed the rams and had a quick catch up with the alpacas! Gabriella & Alex were dynamite to work with, we had such a laugh together!
Reception
The newlyweds took to the dancefloor and began the dance with their two beautiful children! After that they enjoyed some of the song to themselves for a little while before calling up all of their guests to join them! Everyone danced with them with such enthusiasm, the dancefloor shots are always some of my favourites of the day!
“Our first dance is going to be to Artic Monkeys – Baby I’m yours.”
Why choose Elsham Hall for your big day?
As a wedding photographer I have the privilege of spending my days exploring some of the most gorgeous venues with the most amazing teams of wedding staff. Capturing the beauty of Elsham Hall is a true privilege. With its rich history dating back to the 1760s, this Grade II listed barn offers a stunning, timeless backdrop for your special day. The barn’s unique character and rustic elegance are complemented by the enchanting wedding garden and the graceful Georgian Courtyard, making it the perfect setting for unforgettable wedding photos.
The venue has it’s own private rustic-themed bridal area complete with salon mirrors, so you can get ready on site without worry of being seen by arriving guests. The exposed brick, original beams, and vaulted ceilings of the barn create an unparalleled backdrop for your wedding day. The stunning gardens and picturesque lakes, are a hidden gem in the heart of North Lincolnshire and offer endless opportunities for breathtaking wedding photos, capturing the beauty and romance of your special day. They even have animals to show the little ones! It really is one of my favourite venues.
