Blossom pink wedding at Grimsby Golf Club – Emily & Brad

Let’s hear it for my last newlyweds of April 2024, Emily & Brad! I am so happy I was chosen to photograph this simply amazing couple on their wedding day at Grimsby Golf Club. The whole day had such a chilled out energy, until the everyone hit the dance floor!

The day started out with such calm at Brad & Emily’s house in Immingham, where there was only myself, the amazing Natalie on hair and make-up, Emily and of course her beautiful daughter Bonnie (who is an absolute sweetheart!)

Bonnie walked Mum down the aisle and handed Dad the rings, and I honestly don’t know how he held it together! I was told he shed a few tears, but I didn’t spot them from the back of the room!

The couple made their rock star exit as everyone clapped and cheered! We got some quick photos with the car before it left too!

Everyone was in such high spirits, the kids in particular were super interested in me and quite literally ran circles around me! It’s always good to make sure the kids warm up to me though, it really helps with their co-operation for the portraits!

I just absolutely had to insist on the amazing blossom tree for the portrait background! Just look how stunningly it ties in with Emily & Brad’s wedding colours! They are such a truly gorgeous couple!

Our Story

Tell us all about your ‘the beginning!’

We met at school in 2012. Bradley was 2 years older than me but we started messaging on our Blackberry Messenger (BBM back in the day!) It all started from there really as we both had the same interests and hobbies. We started going out for walks around the North Wall in Grimsby and would always enjoy being outside everyday in the summer holidays. Eventually Bradley asked me to be his girlfriend!

When and where did you get engaged?

It was my birthday in December 2017 and we went to Nottingham Winter Wonderland for the Christmas markets. Bradley decided to try out their new Ice Bar where you wrap up warm and drink shots! As I turned around in the ice bar there he was on one knee asking me to marry him. It was so magical because Christmas is my favourite time of the year and he captured the special moment so well.

What style/theme have you chosen for your wedding?

We have chosen pink blossom tree theme! We have a rustic Wood effect with pinks scattered around!

What are you having your first dance to?

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

I cannot wait for us too see each other down that aisle and finally say our ‘I Dos’ – although the drinking afterwards would be nice too!

What are your top tips for other nearly-weds?

I wish someone told me not to stress about the small things because I am in fact stressing over the small things!

Why choose Grimsby Golf Club for your big day?

As a wedding photographer I have the pleasure of working at so many venues and have the privilege of working with lots of incredible staff. The spacious reception room at Grimsby Golf Club doubles as a stunning sunset suntrap for your first dance! The neutral décor and high ceiling of the room compliments any colour scheme.

The grounds are vast, and with the staff kindly letting us a golf cart to explore them, we can get you the most picturesque wedding photos!

“We cannot recommend Aimee enough for capturing our Wedding Day! From the moment we booked Aimee her communication has been brilliant which even included helpful tips for the run up to the day! She made the day run smoothly and it felt natural having her around with us and her joy and presence didn’t go unnoticed as she was so down to earth and such a pleasure!

I love the way you captured moments, sometimes even ones you can forget about when your having so much fun! Every detail was captured and Aimee even joined in with the dancing and had a great time with the guests (including the kids which I might have to say you’d make a great babysitter)
Thank you so much. Our photos are so beautiful, and we received them within days of the wedding which I couldn’t believe!
