Long Awaited Sunny Summer Wedding at Hall Farm Hotel – Ryan & Lisa

A wedding on their 10 year anniversary (to the day!) Ryan & Lisa finally said “I do” at Hall Farm Hotel & Restaurant! They were joined by their parents, kids and even grandkids to spend the day and celebrate with them.

I spent the morning in the bridal suite with Lisa, her mum, her daughter and her granddaughter and honestly it was so amazing to see the four generations have this special time together!

Their ceremony was held on site, and it was so nice to see Ryan shed a tear as Lisa walked down the aisle; Lisa laughed at him and said “What you crying for?!” as she really didn’t think he would!

Hall Farm Hotel was dressed in pink roses and greenery, stunning work as always by Jess at Love in the Limelight who really knows how to work with any space!

I took Ryan and Lisa out just before sunset to get that beautiful evening light, we had some laughs together, especially when a bird pooed right on my forearm while the newlyweds were on the bridge! Hopefully that’s a lucky sign for their marriage!

Even Ryan & Lisa’s wedding cake by Michelle Powles matched their theme beautifully.

Their first dance was to A Thousand Years, which of course I absolutely had to use for their highlight video!

Their story

Tell us all about your ‘the beginning!’

We met when Lisa started coming into my bar, The Holt and became friends and a few months later we had a drink and the rest is history as they say.

When and where did you get engaged?

After several year of being together I bought a ring and built up the courage to ask. I kept the ring in the safe at work for several months and one night plucked up the courage a few days after Xmas and went home and had the ring and a nomination charm with the words “Marry Me” inscribed on it, I went home and Lisa was sitting in the living room and I went and sat next to her and manoeuvred myself next to her and gave her the charm which she opened as I slid into the floor ready to pop the question when she said “Xmas is finished!) and slid down next to me!

I said what are you talking about? have another look at what it says whilst not sure whether to laugh or shake my head in disbelief at what she said! She didn’t have her glasses on though to be fair. I then asked her but she was sat down next to me when she was still supposed to be sat on the sofa so I could get on my knee and ask and fortunately she said Yes! Which brings us to today after 10 years.

What style/theme have you chosen for your wedding?

We have chosen for it to be Blush Pink and natural wood

What are you having your first dance to?

A Thousand Years – Christina Perri

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Ryan – Turning round and seeing Lisa for the first time in her wedding dress and hopefully holding myself together.

Lisa – walking down the aisle and hopefully seeing Ryan shed a tear

Both – Having both families altogether for the first time

What are your top tips for other nearly-weds?

Don’t leave everything until the last minute like we have done thinking we had ages to do everything and then it just crept up on us.

Not leaving it 10 years to get married!
