Fun Stallingborough Grange Hotel Wedding – Kayleigh & Brett

I was back at he amazing Stallingborough Grange Hotel this week for the wedding of Kayleigh & Brett! These two were absolute firecrackers, I don’t think we stopped laughing and bantering together all day!

As you might know, my method as a photographer is to encourage my clients to be themselves and let their real personalities shine through in the photos; if I had to pick just one gallery to show as an example of that, this one would be it!

The Beginning

“First met in Norris Green, Liverpool. I (Brett) was sent to pull some weeds ended up pulling the dragon. She came out the shop and said “what are you doing?” I said “pulling weeds” (wasn’t difficult to see what was going on) to which she said I was going to do that.”

One ring is silver, the other gold, both featuring detailed patterns that evoke an elegant autumn theme in the rustic setting. © Aimee Lince Photography - Wedding photographer in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire & Nottinghamshire

Brett proposed to Kayleigh at a restaurant in Grimsby; he had a ring ready and had a cake brought out with “will you marry me?” written on it!

The Wedding

Meet Brett

Brett got ready at home in Immingham and was mostly ready by the time I arrived! I had to pinch his tie and shoes etc. for the flatlay but fortunately he had his very helpful young valet by his side!

If you’ve seen any of my previous Real Wedding Stories; you’ll know I always start with the guys first because they get ready a lot quicker (sorry girls, it’s true!) and it’s much easier for them to take their jacket off again and relax if they want to!

Meet Kayleigh

Kayleigh got ready in the bridal suite at Stallingborough Grange Hotel; she was so much fun to spend the morning with, there aren’t many brides who’d totally be up for climbing into the bathtub right before they walk down the aisle!

The Ceremony

When I said these two didn’t stop laughing, I meant it! Even through the ceremony they were making each other and everyone else laugh! It was a great ceremony and from what I gather, totally them!

We held the family photos outdoors quite soon after the ceremony as we were rapidly losing the light in North Lincolnshire! I love the cosy Autumn glow we managed to capture though!

Newlywed Photoshoot

Fortunately, I did manage to get some lovey dovey photos of them in between the laughing! I absolutely love the photos of them laughing together and just being themselves, that’s what it’s all about!

“We chose an Autumnal theme.”

Speeches

There were speeches from Kayleigh’s dad, followed by Brett and finally Brett’s best man; who gave a lovely heartfelt speech and even recited a poem he’d written for the occasion!

Cheers to the newlyweds!

Cake cut & first dance

The newlyweds cut the cake and were more than happy to hand a quick nibble out to the kiddies who flocked towards them!

Yes they even got the giggles during the first dance!

“Our first dance is going to be to Million Years”

Reception

And the vibe didn’t stop there!

Why choose Stallingborough Grange Hotel for your big day?

As a wedding photographer I have the pleasure of working at so many venues and have the privilege of working with lots of incredible staff. From ‘prep to party’ it can all happen at Stallingborough Grange; it’s a perfect blend between the traditional and the modern.

They are a family owned business who look after you, your guests and your staff alike. They’re kind enough to never say no when I flutter my eyes at them for a coffee!

The hotel itself is like a larged thatched cottage looking building with a cosy rustic bar and restaurant; upstairs the rooms are all light and modern but with twists of glamour and a timeless charm throughout. These rooms make a great area for your pre-wedding photos, and the honeymoon suite is stunning.

The Buttercross Suite is the huge dedicated wedding building, where you can have your ceremony and reception all in one place. The staff can transform the place while your guests enjoy cocktails and canapés outside. It’s neutrally decorated with a chandelier and the ceiling lighting can be changed to suit your colour scheme. A perfect blank slate for those with their own vision!
