A dinosaur themed wedding at The Humber Royal Hotel – Jordan & Charlotte

This was my first time shooting at The Humber Royal Hotel and I was blown away by the amazing food and extremely friendly and helpful staff!

Jordan & Charlotte are just absolutely hilarious and I’m so grateful you chose me to be a part of your wedding! “We don’t want any more serious photos!” they said after the ceremony (which unbeknownst to me, extended to the family portraits!) I’m so pleased with how they came out though!

We ended up with Jordan shooting a ‘nature documentary’ in which he completely roasted his wedding guests, you can see it here, but I wouldn’t be professional if I didn’t warn you of the language in it! Click here to see the documentary Even the venue staff were following us around and laughing! But just in case that wasn’t unique enough, their best man Ryan surprised Jordan by appearing for a dance wearing a dinosaur costume!

Our Story

Tell us all about your ‘the beginning!’

We met through the best man Ryan who was dating Jordan’s sister at the time in a different town. Charlotte got a message to say Jordan thought she looked fit and then when she came too Grimsby to visit we have been together since. Charlotte moved up a few months later and for our first proper date Jordan took her to st James restauran. 10 years later we are getting married with our two beautiful kids.

When and where did you get engaged?

In Jordan’s parents back garden for new years eve, Jordan got family and close friends round to celebrate the new year then as the new year countdown was starting he asked me to light a firework and as he passed the lighter he got out a ring and popped the question. it was a big shock but the best shock.

What style/theme have you chosen for your wedding?

Subtle dinosaurs & classy elegance.

What are you having your first dance to?

Spencer Crandall – Made.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Seeing each others faces at the end of the aisle and eating cake and not worrying about fitting into our clothes!

What’s the funniest memory you both have together?

Jordan fainted in a old job and when he did his colleagues contacted me and I didn’t believe them he then put the paramedic on and I still didn’t believe him! I sent his mother to the hospital and there he was laid up in the hospital bed he hasn’t let me forget it since!

What are your top tips for other nearly-weds?

Don’t panic about other people and don’t worry about what others think its your day not theirs!
