Autumnal Wedding at Stallingborough Grange – Shona & Hannah

Published Oct 2023

It’s always a pleasure to work at Stallingborough Grange, and it was a wedding photographer’s dream to capture the wedding and true essence of these two!

You only need to be around these two for five minutes to be swept away in the love and laughter that comes so naturally to them both! Congratulations again to the new Mrs & Mrs Parker! It truly was a perfect day from beginning to end. I had so much fun being with you all.

Our Story

Tell us all about your ‘the beginning!’

We met in 2018 on tinder. Had our first date at Starbucks went on the arcades and watched a film at the cinema. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

A couple poses outdoors in a lush, green setting, capturing the essence of their wedding day. One person wears a white, lacy wedding gown with a long veil and holds a vibrant bouquet of pink, orange, and red flowers. The other is in a beige suit with a white shirt and boutonniere. Both are smiling warmly. © Aimee Lince Photography

When and where did you get engaged?

Ingleton water falls. We both had a ring to do it to one another on the same day.

What style/theme have you chosen for your wedding?

Autumnal

George

It was so nice to see George again too! He joined us for a sunset walk on Cleethorpes beach for Shona & Hannah’s engagement shoot.

What are you having your first dance to?

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

The first drink we have as wife and wife and to say ‘WE DID IT’

What are your top tips for other nearly-weds?

Do what you want to do, be selfish. People won’t like the decisions you make but if they love you they will understand and forgive you. You will loose friendships whilst wedding planning so make sure you expect it.

I must have had them for about 2-3 minutes before I said I was happy with the shots at our first location and I distinctly remember Shona saying “Is that it? That felt like nothing!” (That’s what I aim for!)

Why choose Stallingborough Grange Hotel for your big day?

As a wedding photographer I have the pleasure of working at so many venues and have the privilege of working with lots of incredible staff. From ‘prep to party’ it can all happen at Stallingborough Grange; it’s a perfect blend between the traditional and the modern.

They are a family owned business who look after you, your guests and your staff alike. They’re kind enough to never say no when I flutter my eyes at them for a coffee!

The hotel itself is like a larged thatched cottage looking building with a cosy rustic bar and restaurant; upstairs the rooms are all light and modern but with twists of glamour and a timeless charm throughout. These rooms make a great area for your pre-wedding photos, and the honeymoon suite is stunning.

The Buttercross Suite is the huge dedicated wedding building, where you can have your ceremony and reception all in one place. The staff can transform the place while your guests enjoy cocktails and canapés outside. It’s neutrally decorated with a chandelier and the ceiling lighting can be changed to suit your colour scheme. A perfect blank slate for those with their own vision!

“No actual words will be enough to tell anyone how fantastic Aimee was on our wedding day! 21/10/2023 me and my now wife had the pleasure of having Aimee as our photographer. We had a pre wedding shoot which put us at ease and helped us to get to know Aimee.

On the day she had such a calming nature and blended in with our guests. She wasn’t intrusive or in your face when taking pictures which is exactly what we wanted. We wanted plenty of natural candid shots which is what we got. No more than 10 minutes of formal pictures and then we got to enjoy the rest of our day.

If I could have afforded to pay you twice over I would have!

Thankyou isn’t enough for our beautiful pictures but I’ll say it anyway, so Thankyou Aimee”
