Marquee Wedding in Louth – Amie & Ben

Big congratulations to Amie & Ben on their wedding at St James Church in Louth! What a gorgeous and sunny day it was for them to be surrounded by their loved ones at their marquee reception on Ben’s family’s land.

The Beginning

“We met when Ben was a chef at a local pub and I was a waitress when we were in our early twenties. We have been together for 14 years. Our first date was at Appleby’s Ice Cream Parlour.”

The card features the names "Amie & Ben," the date "22nd June 2024," and a decorative floral design inspired by a picturesque Louth wedding. “We got engaged on the 14th March 2022- (12 year anniversary) in the Peak District, by the most beautiful waterfall. Ben caught it on camera and it was an absolute surprise.”

The Wedding

Meet Ben

We started the day at the couple’s home in Louth where Ben was getting ready with the boys (and doggo!) Ben seemed super relaxed while we got his prep shots, and he asked me to deliver a special something to his bride!

If you’ve seen any of my previous Real Wedding Stories; you’ll know I always start with the guys first because they get ready a lot quicker (sorry girls, it’s true!) and it’s much easier for them to take their jacket off again and relax if they want to!

Meet Amie

Amie and her bride tribe got ready in one of the lodges at Brackenborough Lakes Resort. Her daughter helped her get into her dress and we had a lovely bride reveal for Amie’s dad! Amie looked simply beautiful in her lace gown from Elite Bridal in Hull.

Amie & Ben’s wedding ceremony was held at St James Church in Louth. The architecture of that church is absolutely stunning, it’s so light an open which meant I could move around and get all kinds of shots for the couple!

After a confetti exit, we took the family photos around the side of the church in the shade.

Cocktail hour

After a second confetti exit (in style!) we moved onto their reception on Ben’s parents’ land in Louth, where a huge marquee waited for us!

Overhead, artificial cherry blossoms decorate the tent while orange, white, and green balloons float near a centerpiece. © Aimee Lince Photography

Wedding breakfast

There were two food trucks, a fish & chip one and a pizza one!

Speeches

We had speeches in the marquee – Amie’s dad even did a show and tell!

Cheers to the newlyweds!

– which was performed amazingly by band No Relevance.”

Newlywed Photoshoot

We climbed over a country gate (literally!) to get some stunning golden hour photos amongst the equally stunning landscapes in Louth.

Their reception was a lively one! No Relevance performed three separate sets and really hyped up the crowd! But to top it all off, our wedding photography session ended in fireworks!
