A Wonderland Wedding at The Admiral Rodney – Alicia & Reece

Down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland for Alicia’s wedding day “featuring Reece”! Their wedding and reception was at The Admiral Rodney Hotel in Horncastle, where the newlyweds both work! They actually booked me after seeing another wedding there last year which is just lovely!

The Beginning

A bride and groom share a joyful, almost wonderland-like moment in front of a brick wall. The bride, wearing a lace wedding dress and holding a bouquet of blue flowers, gazes at the groom in his dark suit and floral boutonniere. Both are smiling and appear to be mid-laughter. © Aimee Lince Photography

“We met on the bus 😂 going to school and college together everyday, hit it off and just became best friends until we just fizzled out, but then found each other again.”

The Engagement

An ornate wedding ring with a diamond and small side stones rests on a vintage-style, circular brooch, gently placed on the corner of an old "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" book. The cover showcases whimsical illustrations of Alice and the White Rabbit against a rich red background. © Aimee Lince Photography

“It was just a joke, it was like he suggested getting a Chinese like “Fancy getting married?”😂 I’m most looking forward to having Reece legally obligated to hang out with me for the rest of our lives 😂”

Top Wedding Tip from the Newlyweds

“Do not stress over the little things it is all about the future for you and your person. And spending all his hard earned money on your wedding 😆”

Meet Alicia

Alicia got ready on site and was a super relaxed bride! The energy in the room was all giggles and excitement. We had a lovely reveal with her bridesmaids too!

Meet Reece

Reece didn’t want any prep shots, but the time I spent with him on the day had me smiling, he was always checking I was ok and asking if I needed anything – bless him!

Tying the Knot

How GORGEOUS is the photo of Mr and Mrs We-Aren’t-Going-To-Do-A-First-Kiss?! Bless them! The way he gently held her chin gave me goosebumps! Nice one Reece!

A bride and groom walk arm-in-arm down a cobblestone path, their journey like a fairytale in a wonderland. The bride wears a flowing white gown, the groom in a blue suit. Guests line the path, clapping and throwing confetti as they exit the rustic brick building under its red-tiled roof. © Aimee Lince Photography

And we had an epic bubble gun exit to follow!

Family Photo Time

We got what photos we could as there was very little time before the wedding breakfast, also, it was FREEZING outside!

Wedding breakfast

Amidst a wonderland of celebration, a bride and groom cut into their three-tiered wedding cake adorned with twinkling lights. The groom, in his black suit and boutonniere, stands beside his bride in her lace gown and heart-shaped sunglasses. The cake sits on a white table strewn with rose petals. © Aimee Lince Photography

We had a speech from the best man then the newlyweds cut their delicious looking cake!

“Theme choice is Alice’s adventures in Wonderland! The original book is my absolute favourite “

It was very dark! So we made good use of the secret garden area with the fairy lights!
